Section 17 Hunting Preserve

Located 30 miles west of Fargo-Moorhead on I-94.
Wheatland exit #342, north 2 miles to Cass County Hwy 10,
Follow Hwy 10 west 4 miles to The Preserve sign or to
146th Ave SE, then 2 miles north and 1/2 mile east.

Section 17 originated in 2001 specializing in pheasant.
Owner, hunting guide and fellow hunter Paul Kasowski

Paul and two faithful companions, Jan Kasowski and Rose Mjor, raise approximately 2000 top-quality birds each season.  Pheasants are beautiful birds; fun to shoot and grea to eat!

The Preserve season can run from September 1st to mid-November.  If birds are available and weather permits, we're here for you!

A variety of natural wild grasses provides great training grounds for the new pup and prime area to refresh the veteran dog.

Accommodations include:

  • The Main Lodge - a warm, dry resting area.
  • The Cleaning Shack - a bird cleaning facility.
  • Hunting Helpers - hunting dogs (prearranged)
  • Shooting Practice - trap shooting with clay pigeons

No hunting license required for local or out-of-state visitors.

Singles or groups are welcome.  Any age, any level of expertise.

Rates (subject to change):

  • 4-bird hunt $100; $20 each additional bird
  • 16 and under $80
